Let’s face it, life is better with your bestie around – I mean who else knows all the embarrassing details of your life yet so graciously pretends it hasn’t happened? The greatest things about having a bestie are:
- You always have someone to talk things through with
- Having a partner in crime to go and slay at all the events with
- You have a guaranteed travel buddy!
Best of all, if you get tired of each other, you’re pretty much part-time siblings so you won’t get under each other’s skin all the time. But how do you celebrate your bestie and all that she means to you? You treat her to a girlie break, of course! It doesn’t have to be far away, or even for very long – a couple of hours is enough of a treat. We’ve done this for each other in three different ways:
A Girlie Break for a Few Hours
If you only have a few hours on your hands, brunch is the answer. (If we’re being brutally honest, brunch is the answer to every question). Breakfast is the most wholesome, most fantastic meal of the day – and when it’s eaten at lunch time? It’s just a magical culinary affair. Treat your bestie to a brunch date for no reason. After all, nothing says “I appreciate you” like brunch!

A Girlie Break for a Night (or Two!)
Two words, friends; Spa. Break. Our personal favourite location, (though we haven’t been in a little while now) is the Lifehouse Spa in Thorpe-Le-Soken, Essex, after Lulu surprised Abi with a birthday trip here a number of years back. While we are huge TOWIE (The Only Way Is Essex) fans, we would just like to point out that we went there before it was featured on the show. Lifehouse has comfortable rooms in a serene setting, and spa facilities that have literally set the high standard we now expect from all spas (yet to be topped). Your bestie can’t help but feel loved with a gifted spa break here.

A Break for a Long Weekend
If you can steal a few days from your bestie’s social calendar, why not whisk her away? We launched our YouTube channel right after Abi treated Lulu to a surprise trip to Milan for her birthday in May 2017. When we shared our first vlog, where we talked all about the surprise Milan trip (watch here), a few people replied saying things along the lines of “I wish my friends did this for me”… well, we challenge you to be the kind of girl who does this for her friend (read all about how to organise a surprise for your bestie here: WE FLY TOMORROW; SURPRISE!).
