  1. Awesome detail. I wanted to try it but my skin is so sensitive and scared to try something new that might not agree. But you are glowing and radiant

    1. Thank you Tendai! If you are keen, you can try the starters set which gives you mini’s so you can give it a try before investing in full sized products. I’d love to know how you get on! x

  2. The melanin. The spread. The aesthetics. The slay. Everything about this just screams luxury and I’m so here for it!!! Fantastic post ladies – you have definitely inspired my next luxury picnic.

  3. Iceland is on my list too, glad you had a good time despite the scary drive. The driver should definitely fill up the petrol though.

  4. Loool at the ‘don’t pack meat and say Lulu told you so’ 😂. These are great tips and I hear noodles for dinner is common for many that travel to Iceland so we can all make it work! Also a fan of private rooms on AirBnb if money is tight but I still wanna enjoy! Thanks xxxx

  5. India Sounds so exciting
    1. Obviously they show respect because they serve linguine
    2. Well done for trying the food so proud of you.
    3. The massage sounds amazing

    1. LOL i am a real lover of pasta, and that’s facts. The food situation was definitely out of my comfort zone but I told myself to just try everything. The massage was amazing, my back and feet really feel better for it.

    1. Trust me, I really stepped out of my comfort zone with the food. But it was worth it – especially the fresh naan bread with butter.

  6. Abi, how did you find it as a black woman? (You mentioned people staring). I’m not sure I want to go to Mumbai, but my interest in Goa has definitely peaked a bit! x

    1. Very good question. I didn’t have any issues at all, I was treated really well especially in the hotel. I did use Uber (which was really cheap by the way) and I didn’t have any problems. The only thing was the staring and i had some kids that wanted to take pictures with me at the Gateway. But the staring didn’t feel like it was because of ill-intent, it just felt like they saw someone different and were amazed by me which I can understand. And have you seen me? If i was them, I would be amazed too!! LOL

  7. Ahaha as much as I do too much on holiday, I love how there is something for everyone here! Not everyday leave your mate in bed while you do the most 😂👌🏾 xxx

  8. Lol see a sex show 😂 but it’s to be expected in Dam! That pancake place is a definite when I go! And I love a good cocktail bar abroad so yes to Lost! Thanks for sharing xxx

    1. Sissss you ain’t the only one refusing. They looked about as interested as people sitting at their desks, as in, it really is just their day job. But then again, on rotation all day long, I would be fed up too! Pancakes were lit!

  9. I want to eat those pancakes….So there was no pasta on the menu or linguine….how DARE they hahaha…. they are rude. Great write up

  10. Sometimes it’s even nice to sleep….hahahahaha.

The water slide was life.. as you know ‘ I Loved it…it was like 🤗🤗🤗’

  11. Your posts never fail to make me chuckle ladies! You’ve covered all angles for group trip activities. Funny you mention concerts as it is not an activity that would’ve crossed my mind to do abroad (only in the UK) – and I’m sure it would be a GOOD VIBE! *adds to list*

  12. Spare your roommate the acoustics of your activity…this cracked me up, sorry about the bathroom. I do love Porto though!

  13. So…how were you unsuccessfully pick-pocketed please? I need the full details! Lol. Also….5am until 4pm locked out?! Whew chile I would’ve lost my rag!

    1. I felt a hand slip into my coat pocket when I had actively made the decision to not keep my phone there, but in my cross body bag instead! Haha, those hours without the key were some testing times… Thanks for reading! x

  14. Not only are you the responsible.. but you always have the itenary lined up well well. Always fun travelling with you girls #flightsandfeelings and all

  15. So many issues my goodness! Very glad you made it home to tell the tale! Some great learnings for travellers in this! x

  16. This is on my 2020 travel list now but I need to know how steep that mountain is before I bypass the cable car!!!

  17. I am heading back to New York in June and for the first time we are staying in Brooklyn. I like the look of Dekalb Market Hall so we will definitely have to try that out. I hear that Brooklyn is the new place to be, so I’m super keen to check it out for a few days. Safe travels ladies! x

  18. Who’s your photographer? Your serving looks in every picture Miss. Absolutely stunning.

Danfo Bistro and Noir Lagos are places that definitely stood out and I would love to visit. Great recommendations and descriptions included, which I’ll be sharing with friends. Thanks Abi. Looking forward to your next post.

    1. Why thank you! Glad you enjoyed the post and thank you so much for reading. Hope your friends enjoy it too. We’ve got more great content coming in 2020, make sure you are subscribed! Thanks so much once again x

  19. *books flight to Nigeria*
The Danfo Bistro and Dives concept is amazing! That would defo be the first restaurant I would wanna go to!

  20. Much appreciated ! Can’t wait to take a trip back now. If you haven’t been already you should try NOK by Alara, it is also 👌🏿.

  21. Oh my gosh I loved this!! The next time I go to Nigeria I want it to look the fun scenes from a movie vs visiting family and sitting down doing nothing! Loved these, makes me want to go back very soon! Please keep these coming! X

    1. Thanks for reading Rico! Medicine is an interesting one. We have Tokyo coming up next year and there are some important things to read about what medication you can and can’t take to Japan so it deffo needs some detailed looking into for every trip!

  22. Hi my travel sisters. Thank you for this. I’ve had my fair share of delays but nothing like what Lulu experienced. This post is very informative because I would’nt know where to start if this had happened to me.

I hope you get those coins back sis because what a disaster!!

    Love Ya…Jenna xoxo

  23. Hmmmm……. now I really wanna go there too. You make seem like fun Lulu! Love your blogs….. eye-opening and cheeky too 😜

    1. You will have a lovely time if you go, for sure. Haha, hopefully not too cheeky!? Thanks for reading! ☺️

    1. Thanks for reading Elle! It’s a lovely little city, and so quick to get to from London! You should definitely go. I’m curious to know what it’s like at Christmas time, too – with all the markets! X

  24. You are actually very good at this! Am pleasantly surprised! You should have taken journalism as a profession? Write a book please!

  25. Absolutely loved this piece! I’m so glad that you broke down New York into areas, but I’m always stumped on how to take it on , but this helps alot! Pictures are great as usual 😉 And now I need to listen to the podcast that you featured on… Lozzah’s Thoughts xo

  26. Love your logo and transparency! Vlogging and Blogging require a lot of effort – really love your content keep up the great work! P.s when I’m launching a business you guys are doing my logo 😁 X

  27. Loved this Ladies! I’ve done a day trip to Paris before but I’m with you I prefer overnights! Thanks for sharing x

    1. Thanks Tola! Totally agree – staying the night is great. You get a chance to rest, plus waking up in a beautifully decorated room, with a gorgeous new view from your window? Yes please! x

  28. Wow so Iceland isn’t a spontaneous place to just go to lmao! I really want to go this year or the next and this is the first guide I’ve read which actually prepares you for it. The prices I knew about though…£42 for 2 people in KFC?! DEAD😂

    Jess (@road2culturedom) Xxx

    1. Jess Jess! Haha! SPONTANEOUS!? Not at all! I booked this 5 months in advance and still couldn’t get it together! Honestly, when I was told that price I took my butt to Lidl straight away. There was no way I was going to enter financial ruin just to eat in Iceland!

  29. Haha I dont think I could cope with the “egg” smell, always wanted to see the northern lights but not that much, I’d rather just look at a picture on Google 😅

    1. Haha! Honestly, you end up getting used to the smell and it’s not always super strong. Funnily enough, I shared an Uber pool with an Icelander this week; he told me the lights are super faint and don’t show up for very long. I still want to see them though!

    1. Miss Estrella Drifts! Thanks for reading, so glad it was useful! When do you go? I’m hoping to write two more Iceland posts soon x

  30. First of all 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This is such a well written, funny and detailed note of visiting Iceland! I’m now much more prepared for when I eventually visit (trainers will definitely be left at home).

Also, can we talk about the £570 for the ride to see the crashed US Navy plane?!!! loooooool God gave me legs for a reason.

    1. Thank youuuu for reading, super happy its helpful! Honestly, trainers will not survive. If you love them, you’ll definitely leave them lol.

Girl, its just not worth it! Not quite £570 looool, but it might as well have been. You just need to enjoy the fresh air as you 10 toes it for that plane pic!
